 i have ridden twice at haldon so far, its situated just 5 minutes from Exeter. Its a forestry comission owned place with over 1000 acres of forest full of walking and mtb trails. There's a cycle path for every level of rider- from green runs for begginers and family's to a black run for only the best riders. I have ridden the red run (freer ride) twice and found it great fun. With lots of little jumps and a great section of shore its always fun whatever the weather. I found the trail demanding in certain sections and the way the single track is linked up with fire roads makes taking short cuts easy. There is also a free ride area for the more suicidal.
